Born in North Hollywood, California, Laura was raised by wildly dysfunctional parents who soon moved the family deep into the suburbs, providing her with a unique (if not somewhat warped) perspective of the Golden State and human condition.
For over two decades she worked as creative director, script writer, editor, and all-around filmmaker at Vantage Point Productions, a digital filmmaking studio which she owned with her husband Steve.
She’s written intermittently over the years, a screenplay, short stories, columnist for EventDV magazine, and now works as a full-time novelist.
